AM-TECH completed a fit up for a new secure research tower base at the Ottawa Hospital, tying extensive security into the hospital at many points and utilizing modern hospital-grade materials to provide a consistently reliable power supply to life-saving medical equipment.
At the Ottawa Hospital, AM-TECH efficiently completed the ground-up construction as the design build electrical contractor for a brand-new, secure research tower in the heart of the Smyth Road campus with extensive security tied into the hospital at many points. The project scope required AM-TECH to install high and low voltage loops along with state-of-the-art, modernized, and high security hospital grade equipment to provide 100% uninterrupted power to hospital equipment and security lighting for offices, labs, and secure operating spaces. AM-TECH’s work on the research tower covered, but was not limited to, public and secure areas, offices, and research laboratories, requiring AM-TECH to maintain CSA Z317.13 infection control protocols throughout the entire project.
